THIS IS A SAFE PLACE.
You have worth. You are genuinely cared about.
You are capable.
I believe each person has within them the power and skills needed to make changes and succeed in life.
MY GOAL AS A THERAPIST IS TO MEET CLIENTS WHERE THEY ARE, BUILD ON THE STRENGTHS THEY ALREADY POSSESS, AND DEVELOP STRATEGIES TO HELP COPE WITH LIFE'S UPS AND DOWNS MORE EFFECTIVELY.
I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where clients feel free of judgment and comfortable sharing and working toward their personal goals. For over a decade, I’ve worked alongside clients for a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship concerns, and life changes among others. I work from a multicultural, LGBTQ+ affirming framework that is strength-based and largely influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Harm Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing.

Hi! I’m Arin Salisbury LCPC, CADC (she, her), owner and clinician behind Golden Hour Therapy.
THE TERM “GOLDEN HOUR” IS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH THAT TIME OF DAY WHERE THE SUN HITS JUST RIGHT, CASTING A WARM, GOLDEN GLOW.
This time may give us pause and allow us to see things around us in a different, more meaningful and impactful light. “Golden hour” is also used to reference that critical hour where intervention is most impactful. My goal at Golden Hour Therapy is to create a warm, genuine, and empathetic space allowing clients the safety needed to explore their personal experiences and history in new ways and for interventions to be most effective. Let’s work together to create an hour you look forward to — an hour that focuses on you, recognizes your strengths, and builds confidence and skills to tackle your goals. Let our time together be your Golden Hour.
You don’t need me to tell you life is stressful, that bad news and triggers to emotional wounds lurk in our feeds and nightly scrolls ready to pop up at any second.
We know that rates of depression, anxiety, burnout, and substance use are on the rise. We also know that rates of death by suicide and overdose are increasing. While the statistics offer a dark commentary on the current state of things, thankfully, it’s more acceptable now than it ever has been to reach out for help. But, with so many different therapists and therapy services out there, the search can seem daunting. Maybe you’ve even seen someone in the past and the experience was less than great. I urge you to give it a try; to not give up!
